4 Helpful tips for makeup minimalists
Halloween is over, and for many Skone girls wearing a full face of makeup is the last thing on their minds. While it can be therapeutic applying shadows, liner, blush and the whole gamut of products, sometimes even the most devoted makeup enthusiasts (and their skin!) need a break. If you’re looking for some low maintenance makeup tips that will make you look put together while making people wonder if you’re wearing any makeup at all, then look no further.
Use an all in one face product
There are a variety of BB and CC crèmes on the market that can achieve your desired level of coverage, SPF, and shade. Many of these multipurpose liquids and crèmes function as a breathable foundation, so there’s no need for concealer or any other liquid product. If you typically get breakthrough shine during the day, try a crème with a matte finish. On the other hand, if you need that extra shine get a crème that features a dewy finish. You could apply it with your hands or with our Luxe Pro Foundation brush for flawless, even coverage. Set the crème with some translucent powder so there’s no chance of sweating off or smudging product.
Get Those Brows On Point
Whether you’re looking “natural” or full glam, no look is complete without polished eyebrows. Use our Brow Wand to brush your brow hairs and fill in as much or as little as you like. The pigmented shades of our Brow Wand are able to provide sleek brows that don’t look overdone.
Tightline Your Eyes
Tightlining may sound like something you might find at a circus, but really it’s a great little trick to add the appearance of volume to your lash line. Use your Insanely Intense Tattooed Eyeliner in Jet Black or Brown to fill in the gaps between your eyelashes. Then finish off your lashes with mascara. This low maintenance look will make your eyes pop while maintaining a natural, fresh appearance.
Instead of contouring, try using just highlighter. After you apply your BB cream and translucent powder, apply your highlighter on the feature you’d like to highlight; the bridge of your nose, your cupid’s bow or your cheekbones, are places that should be highlighted to complete this look. Sure, you’re wearing makeup, but if applied right it can look like an almost unmade up, dewy look on your skin.
If you don’t have a highlighter you can always apply a light blush on the apples of your cheeks. A little pop of color can go a long way.
